Mogadishu: A suicide plane masked as a policeman exploded himself inside a police preparing camp in Somalia’s capital Mogadishu on Thursday and killed no less than 15 officers, authorities said.
Police representative Major Mohamed Hussein said the assailant had explosives tied to his body and penetrated the General Kahiye Police Training Academy amid an early morning parade.
“So far 15 have kicked the bucket and 17 others were harmed,” Abdullahi Nur, another police official, told Reuters.
