Future Submarines program hit by fraud allegations

Australia’s $50 billion Future Submarines program has been hit by claims of misrepresentation, with a Commonwealth official being examined for misusing stores.

The examination has been affirmed by senior safeguard authorities following addressing from South Australian Senator Rex Patrick amid a Senate gauges hearing in Canberra.

In an announcement, a Defense representative said the examination had “not had any effect on the development of the Cherbourg office” yet said it is improper to discharge more points of interest “as of now”.
